Furia, Sword of the Apocalypse

The Furia is a modern ninjato/Tang dao would not look out of place in a dystopian Mad Max or Into the Badlands-esque future world.

Designed and crafted by John Lundemo, the Furia has a blade of S7 shock steel and the steel underwent a thorough heat treatment to optimize it. The S7 shock steel is a very tough and resistant tool steel and though laborious to work with it creates a sword that is resistant to chipping and damage on the edge when used on proper targets.

The uniquely marbled appearance and texture of the guard, pommel and habaki were all individually acid etched by hand, and no two swords have the same patterning. To create a robust mounting between blade and hilt the blade tang was solidly peened over the pommel for a durable and permanent construction.
